The Gallery and The Artists Community of Whittier (ACW)
The Artists Community of Whittier (ACW) was founded in 2009 as a partnership of artists and galleries working cooperatively to foster communication and support for the arts within the community. The Gallery founded this creative artists' community and continues to support its artists by hosting and sponsoring its events.
ACW's Mission Statement
We will not turn away any artists based on experience or media type. We will encourage new artists to show their work with confidence and pride. We will show gallery patrons that art is “in the eye of the beholder”. We will be organized, professional and most of all “Creative”.
ACW's Goal
Our goal is to help artists have more exposure in a professional setting and to expose the community to local talent. We will work towards giving all artists the opportunity to showcase and sell their work through various events and exhibits. We are a professional and talented group of artists and business owners working together to produce events geared to enrich the lives of everyone through art.
The Gallery believes strongly in the importance of fostering artistic talent and is a proud host and sponsor of many ACW events throughout the year.
